Unit 42 Vice President Tim Erridge is a highly accomplished cybersecurity innovator who is a recognized expert in driving pragmatic solutions that enable global organizations to protect their networks and data amid today’s faster-than-ever-evolving threat landscape. For more than two decades, he has advocated and advanced intelligence-led cybersecurity strategy and operational programmes across a variety of industries and within large, complex multinationals. A distinguished thought leader in cybersecurity, he frequently shares his insights at industry events and in whitepapers and publications.

Patrick Bayle
Patrick Bayle is a CISM CISSP, Senior Systems Engineer at Cortex, who spent the first ten years of his career working on the security front lines for one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

Oakley Cox
Oakley Cox is Director of Analysis at Darktrace, based at the Cambridge headquarters. He oversees the defense of critical infrastructure and industrial control systems, helping to ensure that Darktrace’s AI stays one step ahead of attackers. Oakley is GIAC certified in Response and Industrial Defense (GRID), and helps customers integrate Darktrace with both existing and new SOC and Incident Response teams. He also has a Doctorate (PhD) from the University of Oxford.

Philipp is the Head of Strategy at the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3). EC3 Strategy is responsible for assessing and acting on relevant trends and threats related to cybercrime and cyber-security. Other key areas of responsibility include providing strategic support to investigations, driving innovation, managing EC3’s industry advisory groups, prevention & awareness and capacity building.
Philipp has worked in various fields, including the financial sector, global disarmament, international investigations and on issues related to safety and security in cyberspace, topics he deeply cares about.
His professional experience is complemented by degrees in business informatics from the University of Vienna and in forensic computing and cybercrime investigation from the University College Dublin.

Ash Hunt
Ash Hunt is an information security & risk specialist with a decade of experience in complex, multi-national environments. He has worked extensively across UK Government departments, FTSE/FORBES organisations and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), in addition to authoring the UK’s first quantitative framework and actuarial model for information risk. He has also served as a media commentator for Sky News & ITV on cyber security issues. He is currently the Group Head of Information Security at Sanne, a FTSE 250 alternative asset management organisation.

Joseph Carson
Joseph Carson is an award-winning cyber security professional and ethical hacker with more than 25 years’ experience in enterprise security specialising in blockchain, endpoint security, network security, application security & virtualisation, access controls and privileged account management. Joe is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), active member of the cyber security community frequently speaking at cyber security conferences globally, often being quoted and contributing to global cyber security publications.

Barry is Director with Guide house working within Risk, Compliance and Security. He has over 30 years experience in energy, finance and public sector, and is an internationally recognized cyber security expert and advisor. He was also part of the Industry Advisory Group for the the Cyber Essential Scheme in conjunction with UK’s Department of Business, Energy and Industry Strategy; and as are research advisor to the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology(POST) on Big data, Ethics and privacy. He has also written a number or articles and is currently working on two forthcoming books

Erez Libermann
Erez is widely acknowledged as a leading cybersecurity and data privacy lawyer, together with having deep experience in government investigations and litigation. He brings his considerable experience as a litigator, prosecutor and in-house counsel, as well as aerospace engineer, to deliver practical, commercially focused advice to clients on business strategy, and legal and regulatory issues.
Erez advises major businesses on a wide range of cybersecurity and privacy legal, policy and investigative matters, including incident response, privacy breaches and intellectual property theft. He has led tabletop exercises to simulate responses to cyber events around the globe, including in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Erez has also advised extensively on government investigations and has wide-ranging experience in general litigation.
Before joining Linklaters, Erez was Prudential Financial’s chief counsel on cybersecurity and privacy in which capacity he built one of the first cybersecurity, privacy and data legal teams in a Fortune 500 company and a global cyber investigative team. He regularly advised senior management and the Board on a broad range of cybersecurity and privacy issues and led the company’s global response efforts to cyber and privacy breaches. Erez also serves on the New York State Cybersecurity Advisory Board.
As a federal prosecutor, Erez spent 10 years investigating and prosecuting global cyber and white collar crimes. As Deputy Chief of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, Erez prosecuted and oversaw over 40 prosecutors handling white collar crimes, including cybercrime, terrorism, espionage, FCPA, securities fraud, and money laundering. As Chief of the Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Section, and National Security Cyber Specialist, Erez led groundbreaking cyber prosecutions, including the largest credit card hacking case charged to date, US v. Vladimir Drinkman et al., relating to hacks into 7-Eleven, JC Penney, Heartland Payment Systems, Hannaford Brothers, Visa, Jet Blue, and others. He prosecuted the first hack and theft of internet telephony (VOIP), US v. Edwin Pena, and the use of hacking to facilitate securities fraud, US v. Christopher Rad.
Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Erez was a litigation and intellectual property associate at another global firm.
Erez's cases have been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Wired, CNN and other media outlets. He is a frequent commentator on cyber and data privacy issues.

Mark Moore
Mark is a serving police Superintendent in the Devon and Cornwall force. After graduating from Exeter University with a languages degree, he has worked for over 25 years in policing, spanning a variety of operational roles. He is now employed as CEO of the South West Cyber Resilience Centre, one of a network of police-private partnerships covering Great Britain, and aimed at protecting small businesses and the third sector from cybercrime. He looks after around 350 organisations within the region, and he works with a number of regional universities and business groups to help provide services directly to smaller clients. Mark holds an MSc in police leadership and management and a postgraduate diploma in the psychology of organisation development. He is married with two children, two dogs, and a passion for Cornish beaches.

Jason Nurse
Dr Jason R.C. Nurse is an Associate Professor in Cyber Security at the Institute of Cyber Security for Society (iCSS) at the University of Kent, UK. He is also a Visiting Academic at the University of Oxford, and Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI). Dr Nurse specialises in a diverse set of topics including security culture and awareness in business, corporate communications after cyber incidents, cyber insurance and issues of ransomware. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed research articles and he has had his research featured in national and international media including Newsweek, BBC, Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, ComputerWeekly and The Conversation. Dr Nurse was selected as a Rising Star for his research into cybersecurity, as a part of the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council’s Recognising Inspirational Scientists and Engineers (RISE) awards campaign.

Lior Arbel
Lior Arbel holds the position of Performanta Group's Chief Technical Officer. A focused and driven security executive with nearly 20 years of IT security industry experience, Lior joined Performanta in 2013 as CTO in the UK, before GM in 2015.
Lior started at IBM where his passion for information technology grew. Previous roles included moving to a start-up, PortAuthority Technologies, offering a data leak prevention solution. PortAuthority Technologies was acquired by Websense (now Forcepoint) where Lior continued to work for the next 8 years, ultimately overseeing the company's strategic Data Security Solutions department as Senior Director.
Lior holds a qualification in Management and Social Sciences for Ha'Universita Ha'Petuha in Israel.

Thomas Scriven
Tom is a Strategic Consultant for Mandiant United Kingdom and Ireland, specialising in Security Operations and Threat Intelligence advisory services. He has significant experience as a trusted advisor to sensitive Government Departments, and has consulted for major Corporate entities, including in Critical National Infrastructure sectors, to undertake major cyber security assessments and implement complex cyber security transformation programmes. Tom has worked with large multinational companies to assess their security programmes, providing prioritised recommendations and roadmaps to enhance security posture and effectiveness.

Jay Christiansen
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Jay leads the Red Team in UKI/EU for Mandiant. His specialist background is in Red Team engagements, simulated targeted attack scenarios and Purple Team exercises. Jay created the Mandiant technical Ransomware assessment offering and developed the tools and methodologies required. His research currently focuses on ransomware attacker behaviour and adversarial simulation of FIN/APT groups and building custom payload tools. He still leads large-scale Red Team engagements for clients across all industry verticals and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) clients throughout Europe, the Middle-East and the US.

Ransomware attacks have surged 311% in the past year with a business now being attacked every 11 seconds.
From crippling the Irish healthcare system and shutting down 45% of the eastern United States’ fuel supply to stopping manufacturing and production lines globally, attacks are hitting hard.
